Terms of use

These terms apply when you use Toolbench. Using the site means you accept them.

Using the tools

The tools on this site are free to use, with no account and no usage limit. You may use them for personal work and for commercial work alike, and the files you produce are yours. We claim no rights over anything you create — which follows naturally from the fact that we never receive it.

What you may not do

You agree not to use this site to:

  • break any law that applies to you;
  • process material you have no right to process, including content that infringes someone else’s copyright;
  • attempt to disrupt the site, or access parts of it you were not intended to reach;
  • scrape or republish the site’s content wholesale, or present the tools as your own.

No warranty

The tools are provided as they are, without warranty of any kind. We work to keep them accurate and reliable, but we cannot promise that every tool will produce a correct result in every case, or that the site will always be available.

This matters most for anything irreversible. Always keep the original of any file before processing it, and check the result before relying on it. Compression, conversion and PDF editing all change data, and no automated tool can judge whether that change was acceptable for your purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of data, loss of profit, or any indirect or consequential damage arising from your use of this site. Since the tools run on your device and we never receive your files, we have no ability to recover anything that goes wrong on your end.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing here affects consumer rights you hold under the law of your own country.

Advertising and third-party links

This site displays advertising, which is what funds it. Ads are supplied by third parties, and we do not control or endorse what they show or where they lead. The same applies to any external site we link to.

Our content

The design, the written guides and the source of the tools on this site belong to us and are protected by copyright. You are welcome to link to any page. You may not copy the site’s content to republish it elsewhere without permission.

Changes

We may update these terms as the site develops. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
